The GPs usually arrange to cover each other for short periods of leave. On occasions we will employ an additional locum doctor for extra sessions.

Our practice nurses also offer appointments throughout the day. They deal with such things as cervical smears, minor surgery, contraceptive advice, injections, dressings and ear syringing, removal of stitches and advice on vaccinations for foreign travel.

They also hold Minor Illness Clinics each morning and afternoon. If the receptionist is unable to give you an appointment with your GP you may be offered an appointment in one of these clinics.
